I hope the Redskins' omen holds true in 2004. Things are looking good but don't get complacent, GOTV!

Sorry Pete, there are no footnotes to urban legends . . . either it is a win or it is a loss, and the legend holds or it does not. This kind of subjective qualification leads to social anarchy and a general lack of standards, and insights such as "He's the best player in may against left-handed pitching before the third inning in day games on astroturf, in the American Leage during interleague play."

Either it works or it doesn't. There are no conditional bellwethers (or conditional Carl Weathers).

since your party and your man are notoriously good at oversimplifying things. i'm going to simplify this for you, petey.

a win is a win. packers win. kerry will win. (your whining actually reminds me of a lot of the democratic whining in 2000 about florida)

kerry went to vietnam. bush didn't.

that's all that really needs to be said on both the redskins loss and bush and kerry's military records.

I know what you mean Byron (going away from the packers victory), every where we canvased in Albquerque, we ran into people: ACORN, Move On, Richard Romano. It was pretty funny because one of our canvass teams actually had a little meeting with all the groups and copied notes.

The people of Albuquerque, as one lady put it after swaying her head mocking my script talk, they are tried of us knocking on her door, calling her house, and putting stuff on her house. but she knows, the election is important and people need to turn out as she said. She didn't tell me who she was going to vote for, but she gave some hints she's going for Kerry.

Hope you had a safe trip back Byron and the rest of the UT group.

just saw the replay on nfl primetime. it was definitely a legit call. chris berman and tom jackson both agreed it was a legit call.
