Remember, Boston schooled Oakland and their starters can't hit the barn side of a broad the last few weeks. Besides, we've got Oakland's number the way the Yankees have Pedro.
My question - what's your rotation? I go Schilling, Pedro, Arroyo and Wakefield. Lowe can sit in the pen and sulk.
Friends don't let friends root for the Yankees.
Posted by Thurber at September 28, 2004 07:13 AMI think I'll be a Red Sox fan for the playoffs. If they win, it'll be a good omen for Kerry, and plus, they're like the Cubs, after like 90 years and no world serries, ya gotta feel for 'em.
As much as I hate the Rangers management, it's a shame they appear to be missing out on the playoffs once again. And of course, I blame George W. Bush. It's the Sammy Sosa curse.
Posted by Byron L at September 28, 2004 10:08 AMUm , I have to disagree about the Yankees--I am a NYY and Pirates fan, thankyouverymuch....:)Although If the Sox are in, I'll be Beantown all the way....

Posted by Charles Kuffner at September 28, 2004 02:19 PMWell, if the Dodgers could resurrect some starting pitchers the rest of the league would be toast (I kid, I kid). But after 51 come-from-behind wins this year, including tonight's astonishing 5-4 win after being down 4-0 with one out in the ninth, I'm starting to believe in Dem Bums again.
