Great blog!
Posted by Phil F. Jackson at September 8, 2004 04:35 AMYeah, that's pretty nutty. It's almost as nutty as a failed oil businessman in Texas in the early 1990s saying, "I think God wants me to be President."
Posted by Jeff at September 8, 2004 06:40 AMBilyeu isn't crazy. She's "Colorful".
Southerners, and Texas and Oklahoma can be placed in this category, call this "local color".
Posted by Matthew Saroff at September 8, 2004 08:59 AMAt least she's not a Washington insider. She's going to be in a position to help out every American who has had a radio implanted in his or her head by Bill Clinton. Like Lyndon LaRouche and Ross Perot.
Posted by BarrettBrown at September 8, 2004 09:39 AMYeah, up here we keep those Christian Zealots out; you guys make governors and presidents out of them!
Bilyeau is a nut, tho, no doubts. hell, you forgot about how, in 1998, the democrats almost nomianted a dead woman for US Senate (she lost the runoff).
Posted by Keith G at September 8, 2004 10:23 AMof course this sort of thing happens all the time...
go read "Tranceformation of America"
or check out Judith's story:

when confronted with stories like this it seems like you can put on a tin foil hat, make fun, or realize how important it is to make fully fund public mental health initiatives and work to make sure these folks get the help they need...
me, I head to the kitchen for the foil...

Posted by Jim D at September 9, 2004 07:30 AMJim and mike,
Maybe you should try to find the truth before you criticize a victim;the government has done some awful things.Nolan Clay misquoted me severel times and is trying to cause a lot of trouble for me, but you can be sure I am not crazy;there are alot of folks that would have liked to put me away but people who are good and who know me can tell you that I am not crazy. Maybe you would like to have my head x-rayed and then you can see it.
