Comments: More on McGreevey

I don't mean to pile on this, but, lets.

NYTimes from March 17, 2002, stated that ex FBI Director Louis Freeh had accepted this security post offered to him by the outgoing Guv. DiFrancesco but McGreevey balked. On August 15, 2002, NYTimes reported that Golan Cipel had to step down from the same post that Director Freeh should have had, but for McGreevey's wish to provide his lover a nice $110K job. The fifth highest paying job in state government. McGreevey managed to reasign Cipel to another post at the same pay.

The Freeh selection was a tremendous accomplishment for Guv. DiFrancesco and his associates. What a shame, the loss of credibilty for this state.

I'm not saying your wrong... but I am curious as to why Perry wouldn't point the finger at the right person instead of the "easy target" since it appears that Carole Strayhorn is more of a political threat to him right now than either the BOR or the TDNC? Loyalty to the Republican Party?
