Your friends over at the Graham Blog seem to loathe any sort of opinion that isn't theirs. I've posted comments about Graham's blatent mistruths on Meet the Press, and follows asking what happen to my post.
But much like their candidate soon will, they seem to vanish into thin air.
I kinda like Graham. He just doesn't have the fire for it. His main reason for running for president seems to be "Bush is bad, and I'm popular in Florida." I've commented some on the Gephardt blog, and Kris has managed to do the campaign spin thing on my $$$ concerns, but the dialouge has been respectful. I'll have to post on the Graham, Kerry, Kucinich, Edwards and Kucinich blogs and see what type of response I get.
Posted by ByronUT at July 18, 2003 11:23 AMWell at least you're progressing in the realization that the Dems have to do better than just saying, "Bush is illegitimate, he is dumb, oh wait he beat us in 2002. If we keep insisting he's such a simpleton we might really get trounced in 04. Bush is evil, wrong. Ok gentlemen, what would a President Dean, Kerry, Liberman, Graham, do about these problems?" Graham scored some points with me a few months back for criticizing Bush for being too soft on Saudi Arabia, but other than the usual sop to the Democrats' solar hemp power wing he had no program for how to get us off their jihad juice. And now Graham has just demonstrated what a shameless partisan he is with this impeachment talk. At least he didn't vote for the Iraq resolution, a bit less two-faced than Kerry who did.
Posted by TX Pundit at July 18, 2003 12:10 PMHey, hey!
Well, I do think that Bush should be impeached. I think that lying about war is worthy of impeachment and removal from office. Think about it guys... Clinton lied about a blow job, Bush lied about a war. I tend to think that lying about war is slightly more significant *understatement intended*. Clinton was impeached, now it's Bush's turn. If not, we'll take him out next year, and no I don't misunderestimate Shrub. I'll work my butt off to defeat him, and the Democratic nominee, whoever he may be, better do the same. The Bush folks are shameless partisans, whether it be voter intimidation in Florida in 2000, or shamelessly attacking an American Hero in Max Cleland by comparing him to Sadaam and Osama, Democrats realize what kind of machine we're up against. It'll be a tough fight, but our country is at stake, so as our fearless leader would say, "Bring it on".
