October 21, 2004Todd Baxter's Wife is a BitchBy Byron LaMastersThe Austin American Statesman takes a look at the emails that Courtney Baxter has been sending to her "neighbors":
Kelly White has a good, calm respose:
So, after seeing the email spread across West Austin like a wildfire, does Courtney Baxter apologize? Hell no:
While we find a place for Courtney Baxter to get some treatment for her anger management issues, head on over to that "lying, male hating liberal" Kelly White's website to give her some change to help end Todd Baxter's political career (and Courtney Baxter's bitching). Via Alandwilliams.com. Update: Lasso (via Roman Candles) has the full text of the email:

Posted by: Pam at November 1, 2004 12:41 PMAs a non-American living in Austin for the last few months, I have found the lead-up to this election mind-boggling. As the rest of the world is forced to hear day in and day out, this is 'the greatest democracy on earth'(groan, moan). People like Courtney Baxter obviously have a very warped view of the values this country claims it is the best at. And, her behaviour and attitude is just one good example of why many in the big wide world outside of America (did you all know there was a big wide world out there?)dislike Americans. The mere fact that she sent that email is sufficient evidence, but the disgraceful allegations against Kelly White and her supporters take it further. Kelly White and her supporters disagree with Ms (oops, Mrs) Baxter's husband's opinions and have the right to express their own opinions however, wherever and whenever they so choose. The fact that they express views contrary to Mr Baxter's, does not mean that they are 'man-hating'. They just don't like Mrs Baxter's husband. I don't like him either - where I come from he would be described as a 'smarmy git' amongst other things - but I love my husband, my father, my brother, my male friends and men generally. What would Mrs Baxter have said had her husband's opponent been male? I sincerely hope Kelly seeks a re-count. District 48 does not need a man like Todd Baxter and certainly does not need a man with a wife like Courtney Baxter. It is interesting how a bunch of biased individuals come here to post against Ms. Courtney Baxter, when they do not know her, and have not sat down with Representative Baxter to discuss the issues that are important to House District 48. I have met Courtney Baxter, and let me tell you that she is gracious, intelligent, educated, ambitious, hardworking, and selfless. Her husband, and my State Representative, Todd Baxter, is extremely intelligent, well informed on all of the issues, and has done a lot for House District 48. Have you even tried listening to Ms. Kelly White speak? She is a bumbling idiot! The lady uses grammatical slurs in her debates, stutters repeatedly, and does not understand the issues. Please do not think that I am this staunch Republican...I am very bipartisan, and have analyzed both of the candidate carefully. I fear for House District 48 if they elect a narcisstic, ill-educated, bumbling moron like Kelly White. Boy oh boy, if she can run for office, so can I. I am far more articulate, and intelligent than she is. She needs to gracefully concede and put this race behind her. She lost, and needs to get over it. Let me just say a few things about Representative Baxter. I know him, I trust him, and I think he is one exceptional individual. I doubt you women even reside in the exclusive House District 48, as it appears you do not know these fine individuals, nor do you keep up with the realm of politics and the issues. I hold so much respect for Mr. Baxter, as he is the rational, sound, intelligent, and competent voice for House District 48. He will win the re-count, especially when all of those absentee military votes are counted. I would not be surprised one bit if he actually gains a larger lead. You ladies need to seriously get over yourselves before you post mean things about people you do not know. DISTRICT 48 DESPERATELY NEEDS TODD BAXTER!
